Evoking melancholy through mixed media

In my attempts to quell anger and sadness, I have time and again found the need for expression beyond angry words and bitter withdrawals. Combined with an innate intrigue for the macabre, my paintings are excess thoughts put into motion. Manifestations of a life lived in muddled, quiet shades, taking color for the first time. The crude, blending qualities of oil paint best describe the melancholy I seek to project.
